PURPOSE: A sealant for a solid electrolyte fuel cell is provided to provide a solid electrolyte fuel cell with excellent reliability, and to reduce crack and fractures during a manufacturing process. CONSTITUTION: A sealant for a solid electrolyte fuel cell is that a plurality of sealing plates with a thickness of 0.1-0.4 mm. A manufacturing method includes a step of manufacturing a sealing plate by tape casting slurry including glass powder, binder, and solvent; a step of laminating the sealing plates, and manufacturing an integrated sealing material by applying heat and pressure to the laminate; and a step of cutting the integrated material into a predetermined shape. The temperature is 80-110 °Cand the pressure is 10-50 kgf/cm^2.
