PURPOSE: A container for charging briquette, and an apparatus and method for manufacturing metal such as magnesium using the same are provided to easily charge the briquette into a horizontal retort and to discharge whole slag after a reaction. CONSTITUTION: A container for charging briquette is cylindrical, and is inserted into the retort of a magnesium manufacturing apparatus. The container includes an opening (10a) and a housing space. The opening is cut in a height direction, is charged with raw materials including magnesium, and discharges slag as by-products. The housing space is extended from the opening, and houses the material. When the diameter of the lower surface of the container is L1 and a distance between the bottom of the lower surface and the opening is L2, the L2 is 50 to 99% of L1 on the basis of the lower surface. |
