PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller which can save fuel sufficiently, and to provide a fuel cell unit and a control method.SOLUTION: The controller includes a control unit which directs a temperature maintenance mode, for maintaining the temperature of a control and power generation unit covering the power consumption of auxiliary units with a power supplied externally in a predetermined temperature range, as one operation mode for a fuel cell unit 150 including a cell stack 151B which generates power by chemical reaction, and auxiliary units (a reformer 151A, a blower 153, a desulphurizer 154, and the like) which assist the operation of the cell stack 151B. In the temperature maintenance mode, the power outputted from the cell stack 151B is at least smaller than the power consumption of the auxiliary units. |
