PURPOSE:To enhance color reproducibility by incorporating flat grains having an average aspect ratio of at least 7:1 in a photosensitive layer, and a specified yellow coupler in a blue-sensitive layer, a specified magenta coupler in a green- sensitive layer, and a specified cyan coupler in a red-sensitive layer, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer contains the grains having an average aspect ratio of at least 7:1. The blue-sensitive layer contains the yellow coupler represented by formula I, the green-sensitive layer the magenta coupler represented by formula II, and the red-sensitive layer the cyan coupler re presented by formula III or IV. In these formulae, R1 is halogen, or alkoxy; R2 is H or the like; R3 is a monovalent organic group; each of Z1-Z3 is a group to be released by the coupling reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent; R4 is halogen or the like; R5 is H or the like; R<6> is 2-6C alkyl; R<7> is a ballasting group; R<8> is H or the like; R<9> is alkyl or aryl; and R<10> is alkyl or the like. |
