PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a granular whitener composition having high whitening properties and dispersibility, even with an extremely low fat content.SOLUTION: The whitener composition includes about 10 to 35 mass% of a protein material and about 0.5 to 15 mass% of a protein coagulating agent, with a fat content of about 1 mass% or low. When 2 g of the whitener composition is added to a coffee including 1.5 g of instant coffee powder dissolved in 100 g of hot water at 98°C and mixed together, the mixture has a whiteness degree (W(Lab)) of about 26 or more. |
