PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer or a printing method which can issue label pieces corresponding to increase of merchandise information.SOLUTION: A printer 160 prints merchandise information on a mount-less label LS, and includes: a roll holder 61; a feeding roller 63; a printing part 62; and a control device 80. The roll holder holds a label roll wound with the mount-less label including a colored conspicuous part extending continuously. The feeding roller clamps a part of the mount-less label and feeds the mount-less label from the label roll. The printing part prints eye-catching information included in the merchandise information on the conspicuous part of the mount-less label and prints merchandise information other than the eye-catching information on a non-conspicuous part which is a part of the mount-less label other than the conspicuous part. The control device controls operations of the feeding roller and the printing part. |
