摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic gain control device and method of an inertia sensor capable of reducing the unnecessary consumption of power and currents.SOLUTION: The automatic gain control device includes: an inertia sensor 10 which detects an acceleration and an angular velocity on the basis of the vibration of a drive mass and a Coriolis force; driving means 70 which vibrates the drive mass with an applied drive voltage; detection means 20 which detects the drive displacement of the drive mass which is vibrated by the driving means 70; state determination means 50 which determines the state of the drive mass by comparing the detected drive displacement with a preliminarily set target value, and generates an AGC control signal corresponding to the state of the drive mass; and control means 80 having an AGC 85 for, when it is determined that the state of the drive mass is abnormal, controlling the drive displacement of the drive mass to be compensated, which controls the AGC 85 to operate at a drive rate by waking up the AGC 85 or switching a normal mode to a sleep mode in accordance with the AGC control signal input from the state determination means 50.
