PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel which is reduced in weight and size of the device and is reduced in cost by simplifying working and assembling, and to provide a method for assembling the same.SOLUTION: A hub wheel 1 has a connection part 13 which is formed by projecting from a small-diameter step part 1b and in which a serration 13b is formed on an outer periphery. A shoulder part 19 of an outer joint member 14 has a cylindrical part 20 and a bottom part 21. An annular groove 20a and a serration 20b are formed on an inner periphery of the cylindrical part 20 and a female screw 21a is formed on a bottom part 21. An inner ring 5 is fitted and inserted until it abuts on the shoulder part 19 of the outer joint member 14. The connection part 13 is engaged with serration 13b and 20b of the cylindrical part 20. While the inner ring 1 is torque-transmittably connected to the outer joint member 14, a spacer ring 24 is mounted on the inner ring 1 and the annular grooves 13a and 20a of the outer joint member 14, a fixing bolt 25 is fitted and inserted into a through hole 12 and screwed to the bottom part 25 and the inner ring 1 and the outer joint member 14 are connected in a freely separable manner.
