PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording head capable of realizing reduction in a drive current and application of a high frequency magnetic field to a further minute region and achieving high frequency magnetic field density, and a disk drive including the same.SOLUTION: A magnetic recording head of a disk drive comprises: a main pole 66 which applies a recording magnetic field to a recording layer of a recording medium; and a high frequency oscillator 74 which is adjacent to the main pole in the vicinity of a disk facing surface which faces the recording medium. In the high frequency oscillator 74, length in a track width direction of a lower end face 75a closest to the disk facing surface is longer than length in a track width direction of an upper end face 75b farthest from the disk facing surface. |
