PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating fly ash and the like where the elution of heavy metals from the fly ash and the like produced from an exhaust gas treatment facility in which an acidic gas is treated with a carbonic acid-containing alkali compound can be effectively reduced and to provide a method for determining the additive amount of an iron salt using for treating the fly ash and the like.SOLUTION: Fly ash and the like produced from an exhaust gas treatment facility in which an acidic gas is treated with a carbonic acid-containing alkali compound are added with an iron salt and treated. The additive amount of the iron salt is determined on the basis of the acid consumption of the fly ash and the like when the fly ash and the like are added with the iron salt and treated. Sodium bicarbonate is favorable as the carbonic acid-containing alkali compound using for the treatment of the acidic gas and an iron (II) salt, especially iron chloride (II), is favorable as the iron salt to be added to the fly ash and the like. |
