PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal clutch capable of having maintenance for a preventive action by obtaining an abrasion loss of a clutch lining by calculating based on variation in engagement rotation number of the clutch, and to provide a freezing or air conditioning apparatus using the same.SOLUTION: The centrifugal clutch includes: a driving-side rotation sensor 31 for detecting the rotation number on a driving side; a driven-side rotation sensor 32 for detecting the rotation number on a driven side; engagement rotation number detection means 35 for detecting the engagement rotation number of the centrifugal clutch 8 based on the detected values by the driving-side rotation sensor 31 and the driven-side rotation sensor 32; and clutch lining abrasion loss calculation means 36 for calculating an abrasion loss of the clutch lining based on the variation with the passage of time in the engagement rotation number detected by the engagement rotation number detection means 35. |
