PURPOSE:To realize a complete gas sealing around the ends of a cell with rib, by arranging a fluorine resin type films at the ends parallel to the circulation grooves of the cell, the angles of whose both end openings are depressed, filling the same sort of films at the recesses of the cell, heating and melting them, and then pressing them to squeeze in the small holes of the electrode with rib. CONSTITUTION:The angles of both end openings of the grooves of an electrode 2 with rib are depressed, and fluorine resin type films 4 are placed to cover the both ends parallel to the grooves. Then the electrode 2 is placed in a metal mould with a plain surface, and the mould is heated to melt the films. After that, film pieces 4a of the same material as the coverage films are inserted to recesses 10 furnished at the corners, and, together with the coverage films 4, melted at a time. An L-shape plate is loaded over the films 4 and the film pieces 4a, and the plate is pressed to squeeze the melted films and film piece in the small holes of the electrode with rib, cooled and solidified, and then, the electrode is picked up from the metal mould, and the projections of the film pieces 4a inserted to the recesses 10 are cut off at the same surfaces as the both end opening surfaces of the grooves. |
