PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state image pickup device capable of reading out an image signal at high speed, even in a configuration having an increased number of pixels.SOLUTION: The solid state image pickup device is configured to include a plurality of photoelectric conversion units, signal lines wired along the plurality of photoelectric conversion units, and two impurity regions formed on both sides of a gate electrode which are electrically connected to each of the photoelectric conversion units and differ in the volume and/or the depth in the channel width direction, and is provided with an output transistor having the signal line connected to one of the two impurity regions whichever is smaller in size of the volume or depth. |
