摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery in which a joint section between an electrode plate made of an electrode laminate and a current collector terminal for extracting current from the electrode plate has sufficient bond strength, and a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: The present invention pertains to a secondary battery comprising an electrode laminate composed of a laminated electrode plate having an active material layer partially formed on current collector foil and a current collector member 144 joined to a current collector foil laminate section 158b composed by laminating a section of the electrode plate having no active material layer, and to a method for manufacturing the secondary battery. In the present invention, the joint surface of the current collector member 144 at which joined to the current collector foil laminate section 158b is provided with a concavo-convex region 144a having a concavo-convex shape repeatedly formed therein, with the current collector foil of the current collector foil laminate section 158b fitted into the recesses of the concavo-convex region 144a, whereby the current collector member 144 and the current collector foil laminate section 158b are joined. Here, a difference of heights in the concavo-convex region 144a is within 8 to 42% of the overall thickness in a section of the current collector member 144 where the concavo-convex region 144a is formed.
