<p>PURPOSE:To securely transmit a light signal by surrounding an optical transmission path with an insulating cylinder, isolating the optical transmission path from the insulating gas atmosphere in a container, and prevent the optical transmission path from being affected by the generation of an arc. CONSTITUTION:The container 1 is filled with insulating gas 4 such as gaseous SF6 and the sensor part 5 of the optical current transformer is fitted at the periphery of a conductor 2 so that it is positioned in an electric or magnetic field produced by the conductor 2. Then, the sensor part 5 and a light emitting and receiving part 6 provided outside the container 1 are connected optically through the space propagation type optical transmission path 7. Further, the internal space 10 of the insulating cylinder 9 provided between the sensor part 5 and seal part 8 so as to surround the periphery of the transmission path 7 is also filled with the gas 4. Thus, the transmission path 7 is surrounded with the insulating cylinder to isolate the transmission path 7 from the gas atmosphere in the container 1.</p> |
