PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of improving porosity while maintaining peel strength of a negative electrode, and improving high-rate deterioration characteristics.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery 100 includes a wound electrode body 55 configured by winding a positive electrode and a negative electrode via a separator, while a negative electrode mixture layer is formed on a surface of the negative electrode and a negative electrode active material, a thickener and a binder are contained in the negative electrode mixture layer. The average particle size of the negative electrode active material is 5 μm or more and 20 μm or less, a fine powder amount P that is a cumulative frequency of the negative electrode active material having a particle size of 3 μm or less is 10% or more and 50% or less, the viscosity of a 1.0% aqueous solution of the thickener is 4,980 mPa s or more, and the negative electrode mixture layer is in an un-pressed state. |
