PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prompt a user to photograph an image finely showing the growth/change of a child.SOLUTION: An image obtaining portion 51 obtains an input image from an output signal of an imaging portion 11. A face detecting portion 52 and a face recognizing portion 53 detect a face of a person from the input image, and carry out the individual identification of a detected face (identification as to who has this face) by using a face dictionary DIC1. In a face dictionary DIC2, image data of faces of one or more registered people are held. A growth/change evaluating portion 54 extracts and selects the face of the registered person associated with a face recognition ID (individual identification information) of the detected face from the face dictionary DIC2, and calculates a score (an evaluation value) according to similarity between the extracted/selected face and the detected face, through face similarity evaluation processing. When the score is a predetermined threshold value or more, it is determined that the detected face (a face of a child) shows change/growth (for example, it is determined that a face of a child becomes similar to his/her father), and notification for prompting a user to photograph an image is carried out. |
