PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress formation of deposits by cooling a fuel injection valve through the use of a throttle valve when an internal combustion engine is stopped.SOLUTION: An engine 10 includes a dual injection system in which fuel injection valves 24 are individually arranged in two inlet ports 20 in one cylinder. An ECU 60 opens a throttle valve 18 after the engine 10 is stopped, and closes the throttle valve 18 when a temperature of the fuel injection valve 24 is determined to reach a target temperature suitable for atomization of fuel. As a result, heat radiation from an intake passage 14 cools the fuel injection valve 24 and an intake system can be kept warm. Accordingly, suppression of formation of deposits is balanced with fuel atomization upon a restart. |
