PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve compaction of a breaker used as a protective device of a secondary battery, or the like, while ensuring safety of an electric apparatus by interrupting the current reliably at the open circuit time.SOLUTION: A breaker 1 includes a fixed piece 2 having a fixed contact 21, a movable piece 4 having an elastic part 43 deforming elastically and a movable contact 3 at the tip thereof, and pressing the movable contact 3 against the fixed contact 21 thus bringing them into contact, a thermally-actuated element 5 for making the movable piece 4 actuate so that the movable contact 3 is separated from the fixed contact 21 by thermal deformation, and a case 7 for housing them. The thermally-actuated element 5 has first protrusions 53a, 53b protruding to the movable piece 4 side, and abut against the elastic part 43 during thermal deformation thus increasing the push-up amount at the tip of the movable piece 4. |
