PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary heat treatment furnace in which the quality of a heated object is unlikely to be varied, and further, of which the structure is simplified.SOLUTION: The rotary heat treatment furnace comprises: a substantially cylindrical furnace body 31; a substantially planarly doughnut-shaped storage rotating body 32 which is supported in a freely rotatable manner inside of the furnace body 31 and in which a plurality of storage chambers 32a each for storing an object W to be heated therein are disposed radially and in a multi-stage state and a void is formed in a central part 32b; a rotation driving device 33 for rotating the storage rotating body 32; a fan 34 for blowing hot air to a side of the furnace body 31; a first flow passage 35 communicating the fan 34 and the furnace body 31; a cylindrical wall 36 in a cylindrical shape which is provided outside of the storage rotating body 32 away from an inner wall of the furnace body 31 and through which a plurality of hot air intakes 36a are formed; and a second flow passage 37 communicating a lower end of the central part 32b of the storage rotating body 32 and the fan 34. Hot air from the fan 34 is supplied from the outside of the storage rotating body 32 to the central part 32b via the hot air intakes 36a.
