PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoreceptor having excellent mechanical and electrical durability which prevents generation of abnormal images even in long-term repeated use, and an image forming apparatus including the photoreceptor.SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor contains inorganic fine particles the surfaces of which are coated with phenyltrimethoxysilane with a surface coverage of 50% or more and 300% or less.
