PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a level of noise generating from a frame member and to reduce individual differences in the noise level of frame members.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a fixing motor 56; a fixing roller 51b; a fixing roller gear 55, an idler gear 65 and a fixing motor gear 66 which transmit an output of the fixing motor 56 to rotate the fixing roller 51b; and a rear plate 61 holding the fixing motor 56, fixing roller 51b, fixing roller gear 55, idler gear 65 and fixing motor gear 66. The image forming apparatus also includes a tension spring 73 that imparts a force to the rear plate 61, a tension spring fixing part 72 disposed on the rear plate 61 to fix an end of the tension spring 73, and a latchet mechanism 74 that can adjust the force imparted by the tension spring 73. The ends of the tension spring 73 are attached to the tension spring fixing part 72 and to the latchet mechanism 74. |
