PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a sulfur-containing epoxy compound capable of providing a resin composition excellent in adhesive property with respect to a substrate; a resin composition excellent in adhesive property with respect to metal; and adhesive suitable for electronic materials.SOLUTION: A sulfur-containing epoxy compound is obtained by reacting a compound expressed by the following formula (I) with a polyepoxy compound containing no sulfur atom. A resin composition contains the sulfur-containing epoxy compound and a curing agent for an epoxy compound. Adhesive contains the resin composition.
