PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain both image blurring caused by unintended hands movement and image blurring caused by movement of a subject itself.SOLUTION: When a shutter instruction by holding down of a shutter button is input, an information gathering period is set and then an amount of device movement Vand an amount of subject movement Vin the information gathering period are collected on the basis of output from a motion sensor and output from an image pickup unit 11 of an image pickup device. At termination of the information gathering period, reference amounts THand THwhich are a threshold for the amount of device movement Vand a threshold for the amount of subject movement Vare set from the minimum value of the amount of device movement V(i.e., V[t]) and the minimum value of the amount of subject movement V(i.e., V[t]) during the information gathering period. Then, when the amount of device movement Vdecreases below the reference amount THand the amount of subject movement Vdecreases below the reference amount THin an actual photographing period after the information gathering period, the target image is photographed. |
