PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a porous body having many fine pores, and the porous body.SOLUTION: The method for producing a porous body comprises: a step (a); a step (b); a step (c); and a step (d). In the step (a), an elastomer is mixed with fine fiber, and also, dispersed by shear force, a composite elastomer is obtained. In the step (b), the composite elastomer is heat-treated, and the elastomer included in the composite elastomer is decomposed and vaporized to obtain a network structure of the fine fiber. In the step (c), a melted metallic material is infiltrated into the space of the network structure of the fine fiber, and solidification is caused in a furnace of an inert gas atmosphere to obtain a composite material including the fine fiber. In the step (d), the composite material is heat-treated, and the fine fiber in the composite material is burnt away to obtain a porous body. |
