PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of an NbAl superconducting wire material in which Nb and Al in which melting points are very different are annealed without performing diffusion reaction, and work hardening of an Nb/Al composite is prevented, in production of a rod-in-tube method NbAl superconducting wire material.SOLUTION: A production method of an NbAl superconducting wire material includes: a step (S100) in which a first time wire drawing wire in which an initial stage billet A that includes an Al rod as a core and an Nb layer at an outer periphery is extruded, and then undergoes wire drawing, is bundled to produce a first time bundle wire B; a process (S102) in which a before heat treatment wire is produced by extrusion and wire drawing of the first time bundle wire B; a process (S104) in which the before heat treatment wire is rapidly heated and cooled at a wire temperature of a range from 900°C to 1,400°C; a process (S106) in which an after heat treatment wire inclusion material D is produced by bundling the wire after rapid cooling with a prescribed wire diameter; and a process (S108) in which an Nb/Al extra fine multicore precursor wire E is produced by extrusion and wire drawing of the after heat treatment wire inclusion material D. |
