PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte for an electrochemical element, capable of imparting excellent durability to a lithium ion secondary battery, an organic thin film solar cell or a dye-sensitized solar cell, and a dye-sensitized solar cell including the electrolyte for an electrochemical element.SOLUTION: An electrolyte 40 for an electrochemical element is used for an electrochemical element comprising a lithium ion secondary battery, an organic thin film solar cell or a dye-sensitized solar cell. The electrolyte 40 for an electrochemical element includes: a solute 41; a nonaqueous solvent 42 and at least one selected from the group consisting of ionic liquids; and a vinyl alcohol-based polymer 43 having a constitutional unit represented by the following formula (1). |
