PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid defoamer which is suited to long-term preservation, can be added into powder or a granular composition, and for which sustained release is easy to control.SOLUTION: A defoamer composition contains the following components (A)-(E): (A) silicone defoamer 5-60 mass% of a total composition mass; (B) a solid carrier 5-60 mass% of the total composition mass; (C) a binding agent 0.1-10 mass% of the total composition mass; (D) a disintegrating agent 0.1-12 mass% of the total composition mass; and (E) a filler 3-80 mass% of the total composition mass in a solid state at 25°C. The filler is at least one kind selected from the following (I)-(III): (I) a water soluble substance; (II) a swellable substance; and (III) a water permeable substance. |
