PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a ceramic honeycomb structure capable of improving defect of squareness.SOLUTION: A ceramic honeycomb sintered body 80B which is defective only in squareness in an inspection process is selected, and a contour of the outer diameter size of the ceramic honeycomb sintered body 80B is measured in a first measuring part Q1 and a second measuring part Q2 of the outer wall 93 surface of the ceramic honeycomb sintered body 80B, and the total of absolute values of each difference of four values of contours C1x, C1y, C2x, C2y measured at a first measuring point P1x and a second measuring point P1y of the first measuring part Q1, and a third measuring point P2x and a fourth measuring point P2y of the second measuring part Q2 is determined, and one end face 91 and the other end face 92 of the ceramic honeycomb sintered body 80B are ground in the state where the four measuring points at which the total of the absolute values of each difference of the contour values becomes minimum, on the outer wall 93 of the ceramic honeycomb sintered body 80B, are supported by a first pedestal and a second pedestal. |
