PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the handling flexibility of a housing member, and to eliminate the need of ensuring the long extra length of a lead wire of a stator, in an electric compressor.SOLUTION: An electric compressor 1 is driven by an axial gap type motor 3 having a shaft 10 rotatably supported in a housing 2, a rotor 20 housed in the housing 2 and fixed to the shaft 10, and a first stator 21 and a second stator 22 oppositely disposed on axial both end surfaces of the rotor 20 through air gaps. The housing 2 has a first housing member 5 to which the first stator 21 is fixed, and a second housing member 6 to which the second stator 22 is fixed. The first stator 21 and the seconde stator 22 respectively have independent lead wires 26 and 27, and electric coupling between the lead wires is carried out in the housing 2. |
