PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas diffusion layer for fuel cell which can maintain the diffusivity of reaction gas by suppressing generation of liquid water in a conductive porous layer even during low load power generation or during low temperature.SOLUTION: The gas diffusion layer for fuel cell has a conductive porous layer 21a formed by coating a diffusion layer substrate 22a with carbon particles mixed with a water-repellent member, and then heating the same. When the specific surface area of the carbon particles before heating is S1, and the specific surface area of the conductive porous layer 21a after heating is S2, following relation is satisfied; S2/S1≤0.55. |
