摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve of a direct-injection engine which unites lowering of suction power of solenoid coils 81, 82 necessary for the valve opening by reducing back pressure of a needle 83 and enlarging of arrangement intervals of a number of nozzle holes 84, in the fuel injection valve (injector 80) of a solenoid driving type.SOLUTION: A fuel injection valve includes valve bodies 841, 842 having fuel passages 800 and a plurality of nozzle holes, a needle which is stroked so as to open and close the respective nozzle holes in the fuel passages and solenoid coils 81, 82 which are arranged outside the fuel passages and stroke the needle so as to open the respective nozzle holes upon electric conduction. The maximum fuel pressure in the fuel passages is set to high fuel pressure of 40 MPa or more. The fuel passage includes a sheet part 801 which is set smaller than the diameter of a basic cylindrical part at the tip part of the needle, a throttle part 802 which continues to the sheet part and an enlargement part 803 which continues to the throttle part and has a diameter larger than the throttle part. Therein, the plurality of nozzle holes are communicated with the enlargement part.
