PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoformed article formed of a polylactic acid resin composition excellent in transparency and heat resistance, and a method for manufacturing the thermoformed article.SOLUTION: A thermoformed article is formed of a polylactic acid resin composition containing a polylactic acid resin and a pulverized product of a laminar double hydroxide obtained by a method including a step of pulverizing the laminar double hydroxide in the presence of a plasticizer. A method for manufacturing a thermoformed article includes: a step (1) of obtaining a pulverized product of a laminar double hydroxide by pulverizing the laminar double hydroxide in the presence of a plasticizer; and a step (2) of preparing a polylactic acid resin composition by melting and kneading a raw material for the polylactic acid resin composition containing the pulverized product of the laminar double hydroxide obtained in the step (1) and a polylactic acid resin.
