PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery manufacturing method capable of restraining short-circuit in a high temperature aging step.SOLUTION: In a manufacturing step S1 of a battery 1, the battery 1 comprises an electrode body 20 formed by winding a positive electrode 21, a negative electrode 22 and separators 23, 24, and a case 10. The negative electrode 22 is arranged on the electrode body 20 on an outer side than the positive electrode 21, and the case 10 has: a housing section 11 whose top face is opened and in which the electrode body is housed; and a lid section 12 for closing the opening on the top face of the housing section 11. The method includes: an initial charging step S20 for performing charging while restraining the battery 1 so that the electrode body 20 is pressed via the housing section 11 of the case 10; and a high temperature aging step S30 for storing the battery 1 after the initial charging step S20 under a high temperature. In the initial charging step S20, charging is performed while restraining the battery 1 while excessive sections 23a, 24a of the separators 23, 24 are not positioned at an upper corner section 20a of the electrode body 20. |
