PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foam fire-extinguishing apparatus using a fire-extinguishing foam which improves fire-extinguishing performance of foam generated by the fire-extinguishing foam and takes account of environment.SOLUTION: A foam fire-extinguishing apparatus 1 includes: foam discharge means 2 for discharging fire-extinguishing foam provided in a protection area S; pipes 7 and 10 to which the foam discharge means 2 are connected; pressurizing means 3 for supplying the pipes 7 and 10 with fire-extinguishing water W; and a mixing device 8 for mixing the fire-extinguishing water W with a foam liquid F containing surfactant to form the fire-extinguishing foam. The fire-extinguishing foam has thixotropic nature. Preferably, the fire-extinguishing foam can include colloidal hydrous silicate. |
