PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stylus capable of achieving a longer life.SOLUTION: A stylus A includes a spherical part 2 larger in diameter than a shaft 1 at the tip of the shaft 1. The spherical part 2 is configured by curving a diamond polycrystal generated by coupling many diamond particles in an irregular direction, and engaging, soldering and fixing the diamond polycrystal to the tip of the shaft 1. The spherical part 2 is entirely made of diamonds to exhibit extremely high abrasion resistance. The diamond polycrystal has no anti-abrasion anisotropy. Thus, it is not difficult to obtain sphericity high enough to endure precision measurement by adding polishing and grinding. |
