PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeding device capable of reliably separating sheets, and then guiding the separated sheets to a separation nip portion, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A guide member 26, having a contact surface 26a for guiding sheets S fed out by a feeding roller 20 to a separation unit 104 while separating the sheets S formed at its upper end, is rotatably provided between the feeding roller 20 and the separation unit 104. A rotation mechanism 43 rotates the guide member 26 as a sheet stacking tray 14 rises so that an angle at which the sheet S to be fed abuts on the contact surface 26a is substantially constant regardless of a rotation angle of the sheet stacking tray 14. |
