PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adequately prevent an immersed nozzle from being blocked up by a non-metallic inclusion even when for example REM is added to the steel.SOLUTION: Continuous casting is carried out by supplying an Ar gas having purity of 99.95% or more, oxygen density of 2 ppm or less, and a dew point of -65°C or less into a flow channel of an immersed nozzle 6. By blowing the high-purity Ar gas of 99.95% purity or more into the immersed nozzle, the number of occasions is reduced that molten steel is brought into contact with an inner surface of the immersed nozzle and thereby suppressing adhesion of non-metallic inclusions in the molten steel to the immersed nozzle.
