PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge acceleration device capable of accelerating discharge from a secondary battery while preventing the generation of excessive currents to the second battery in terms of one aspect.SOLUTION: The discharge acceleration device includes: a current direction detection part for detecting the charge direction currents and discharge direction currents of a secondary battery 14 to be charged and discharged by a controller 13; a load 26 for discharge acceleration for accelerating the discharge of the secondary battery 14; a discharge acceleration switch 25 for connecting the load 26 for discharge acceleration to the secondary battery 14; a limit resistance 22 for preventing excessive currents from flowing to the secondary battery 14; a bypass switch 23; and a discharge acceleration control part 27 for, when the charge direction currents are not detected by the current direction detection part, connecting the load 26 for discharge acceleration to the secondary battery 14 by the discharge acceleration switch 25, and for, when the charge direction currents are detected by the current direction detection part, bypassing the limit resistance 22 by the bypass switch 23. |
