PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder which improves reliability of detection performance of a solvent liquid level.SOLUTION: An ink jet recorder has an ink container for storing ink for printing on a printing target object, a nozzle which is connected to the ink container and discharges the ink, a charge electrode for charging the ink which is discharged from the nozzle and used for printing, a deflection electrode for deflecting the ink charged by the charge electrode, a gutter for collecting ink not used for printing, a sub ink container for supplying ink when the ink in the ink container decreases, a solvent container for storing an organic solvent, a liquid level sensor which is arranged in the solvent container and detects a liquid level, and a conductivity imparting mechanism which is arranged in the solvent container and imparts conductivity. |
