PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold down glare to an oncoming vehicle and a pedestrian to the minimum by setting suitable illumination intensity and irradiation angle according to the operation speed, the stop/stand state and the like of an own vehicle in operating the vehicle.SOLUTION: In consideration for a means jointly used with a leveling mechanism constructed so that a beam is irradiated to a longer distance at a higher speed by setting the irradiation distance computed with reference to a brake distance in an irradiation angle, as a method of setting the illumination intensity, when the maximum illumination intensity of a low beam is 100, it is 10 in the stop state, 20 in the temporary stopping state, 40 in the start state, and then the illumination intensity increases with acceleration to be 100 at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour. With further acceleration, the illumination intensity increases to reach the maximum preset illumination intensity 200 of a high beam at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour. |
