The device has a strip with determined length forming a dress (H) i.e. chasuble, placed around a central zone of the strips by folding in a half strip and another half-strip (DB2) to cover successive steps of a ladder, where the strip is made of semi-rigid and resistant material. A fixing unit formed of pressure button (BP), end eyelet (OE) and a lock fixes the half-strips in order to prohibit access to covered successive steps of the ladder. The strip has a notch (ech) to receive one of vertical uprights of the ladder in vicinity of rung around which the dress is folded and placed.
