The structure (10) has a part (18) comprising a connection wall (40) that is placed related to a surface (26) of another part (16). A connection assembly (20) comprises a fastener (60) and a fastening assembly (62) that comprises another fastener (64). A retaining surface (72) faces the surface of the latter part to define an interstice (86) between the retaining surface and the surface of the latter part. The wall slides along an axis (B-B') in the interstice when the fastener engaged with the other fastener maintains a bearing surface (70) applied against the surface of the latter part. The part and the other part are designed as an external cladding panel and a fuselage or an aerofoil, respectively. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a structure for an aircraft.
