PURPOSE: A cell culture observation apparatus is provided to easily acquire information of a cell culture condition by analyzing the area of cells in a culture container and to test a material which affects a medium change time, a culture finish time, a cell survival rate, and cell migration. CONSTITUTION: A cell culture observation apparatus (1) comprises: a culture container support which supports a culture container placed in the apparatus for containing cells (6) and a medium; and an imaging device for acquiring an image of the bottom area of the cells in the culture container and/or an image of cells within a predetermined part of the bottom area. Information of a cell culture condition is acquired by analyzing the area of the bottom of the culture container using the image acquired from the imaging device. |
