The present invention relates to a new structure of a leveling staff, which is capable of adjusting that a measurement surface with scales accurately faces a leveling apparatus and preventing tilting in a lateral direction during measurement. The leveling staff according to the present invention can enable the worker controlling a leveling apparatus (D) in a remote place using a direction changing means to directly adjust a measurement surface (21) of a staff body (C) to face a leveling apparatus, and can allow the staff body (C) to be fixed to a supporting means (E) in a state of being coupled to a support (B) provided on a base (A). Unlike a conventional method which allows the worker to grip and fix the staff body (C) with hands, the staff body (C) can be fixed not to move, and the worker can readily adjust the measurement surface (21) of the staff body (C) to face the leveling apparatus, thereby facilitating measurement. |
