PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To issue a warning using a warning sound and the like when an article is left behind, while eliminating a need to perform continuous or periodical communications for measuring a distance and preventing erroneous issuance of a warning sound during a normal use of the article.SOLUTION: A leaving-behind prevention device, for use in preventing a wireless apparatus from being left behind, detects whether the wireless apparatus is detached from a cradle. An event of a predetermined function provided with the wireless apparatus being used is detected. A warning is issued if any event in which the predetermined function is used or the wireless apparatus is put back on the cradle is not detected before a predetermined period of time elapses since the detection of an event that the wireless apparatus has been detached from the cradle. |
