PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal screen device having a latch mechanism between a movable stile and a receiving stile to which the movable stile abuts for smoothly performing the engagement operation of a latch with a latch receiver.SOLUTION: A guide mechanism is disposed between a stile material 11 formed with a latch 30 which abuts when a screen 6 is spread and a stile material 12 formed with a latch receiver 40 for guiding a hook section 31 of the latch to an engagement hole 41 of the latch receiver when the latch is joined with the latch receiver. In the latch, a guide board 32 following the outer surface of the stile material 11 is disposed that extends in a vertical direction with an engagement interval with a receiving hook section 44 interposed at the base of the hook section. A faceplate 43 of the port section of the engagement hole of the latch receiver is formed with bank sections configured to project toward the stile material 11, and abut to the stile material 11 at both sides of the guide board when the latch is engaged with the latch receiver thereby suppressing the latch receiver or the like from being brought into contact with the guide board. |
