PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device capable of switching connection configurations of a stator winding with a more simple constitution.SOLUTION: A driving device according to an embodiment connects input terminals of respective phases of a three-phase bridge rectifier circuit to middle points of respective phases of a three-phase delta-connected stator winding of an electric motor. Control means controls turning on/off of a semiconductor switching element connected between output terminals of the three-phase bridge rectifier circuit, and switches the stator winding from three-phase delta connection to star connection by turning on the semiconductor switching element.
