PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a method for appropriately setting a maximum wait time so that a reduction in usability is suppressed when a desired device in a network is searched.SOLUTION: A first information processing apparatus is capable of wireless communication with a second information processing apparatus, and includes: a storage unit that stores the maximum connection number of devices with which the first information processing apparatus can be connected via wireless communication in a network; an identifier generation unit that generates identifier information of the first information processing apparatus including the stored maximum connection number; and a transmission unit that transmits the generated identifier information to the second information processing apparatus that searches the apparatuses in the network via the first information processing apparatus.
