PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a clearance between a movable scroll and a housing to be reliably sealed by a seal ring when a compression mechanism is started.SOLUTION: A ring groove (55) is formed in a housing (50). On an inner periphery wall (55a) of the ring groove (55), an inclined part (55c) is formed which is inclined so that the groove width is gradually increased toward the upper side. A seal ring (60) stored in the ring groove (55) abuts on an outer periphery wall (55b) of the ring groove (55) and the back face of a movable scroll (35) with its diameter enlarged when pressure in an inside back pressure space (54) is higher than pressure in an outside back pressure space (56). It also abuts on the inclined part (55c) on the inner periphery wall (55a) of the ring groove (55) and the back face of the movable scroll (35) with its diameter contracted when the pressure in the inside back pressure space (54) is the same as the pressure in the outside back pressure space (56). |
